who am I?

Hey people and welcome! This part is usually the hardest to write as you try not to sound cliché and like the next guy (or gal!) but alas, I think I've already succeeded in that. Awesome. Anyway, might as well get right into it. As you may have figured, I'm the wonderful owner of this self-titled blog, which focuses on my passion for online marketing; specifically, within social media and community building. I'll probably ramble about a few different things as well; so, I hope you stick around and we can get to know each other a little better!

  • Born and raised in Cleveland, I never rooted for the Browns as a kid (‘rents loved that & told me to move to San Fran and watch the 49ers there)
  • My real name is Sandeep. Sonny is a nickname and something that’s stuck since I was a kid
  • I love basketball, to the point that I’ll stakeout Penny Hardaway’s home to get his autograph
  • Received my Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management but have probably learned more in the real world than in the books
  • I’m a music buff. Music heals the soul…and everything else. Yes, even scrapes and bruises
  • I’m iffy about going on big bad roller-coasters but I’m down to go skydiving – don’t ask
  • My obsessions: tech toys, stationary, medium-sized t-shirts and Chipotle

  • I help companies better connect with their community and grow their business through education and implementation of social media-focused strategies
  • I completely believe it’s about the conversation. If you want to know what people are saying about your brand, TALK to them; they don’t bite, most of the time…
  • I have current and deep understanding of numerous social networks (find me at the socnets to the right and you’ll see)
  • My digital toolbox also encompasses web analytics, search engine marketing and optimization
  • I’m also self-taught in web design and development – including several Adobe programs, with an understanding of HTML/CSS (I’m a wannabe designer at heart)
